![]() Thankfully most of that stuff appears to have been archived, but it'd be nice if somebody else could take over since the source code is available and it is a rather nice project. And not just abandon it but also delete his blog, his codeplex page, etc. ![]() The drawback is that the author seem to have abandonned it. I only spotted a bug with a shadow in E1M1 and I do not know if it is the only occurence. It is optimised to run very well on computers running DirectX, including old laptops that may have trouble with OpenGL, and preserve the look and feel of the software mode-that includes waterwarp-while providing some of the advantages of the accelerated mode, and most of these extra effects can be disabled if you want it to look closer to the original. Going back on the subject of Quake source ports, I tried DirectQ today and I might finally leave WinQuake for it. ![]()
